The families have a long connection to Vermont, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania, as well as to southern Maine. The contents of the sale (including several 18th and 19th century pieces of furniture, collectable china, and various books) reflect this. Included in the sale is the approximately 400 volume professional library of preeminent Loyalist historian Professor Robert A. East (1909-2001)
